What should I check before opening an issue?
- Check the same period in Apple Health.
- Restart Pulse and refresh while the app is open.
- Confirm the relevant Health permissions are enabled.
- Check whether a newer Pulse update is available on the App Store.
Why is a value missing or out of date?
Pulse can display only data Apple Health makes available after permission. Empty data can also mean access was not granted. Heart rate and blood oxygen are latest available samples, not continuous streams. Always check the displayed timestamp.
Why is blood oxygen unavailable?
Availability depends on Apple Watch model, region, age and settings, and Apple’s current platform support. Missing oxygen data is a normal state and does not mean Pulse is malfunctioning.
Why has a widget or complication not refreshed?
Widgets and complications use compact local snapshots and system-managed timelines. Open Pulse to refresh Health data, then allow Apple’s system time to update the widget. Pulse cannot guarantee second-by-second background updates.
How does the Apple Watch sensor check work?
The sensor check is a short, user-started flow. Pulse uses Apple’s required session path, discards the session, and does not save a workout. It is not continuous monitoring or an emergency feature.
How do Consistency, companions, and Step Quest work?
Progress is optional and calculated locally. Reset Consistency Progress removes Pulse’s local program state without deleting Apple Health data. Step Quest starts only when you request it and its updates depend on current Health data and Apple system delivery.
Can Pulse answer medical questions?
Pulse is not a medical device and cannot diagnose, interpret symptoms, or provide emergency support. Contact a qualified health care professional or local emergency services for medical concerns.
